What is SQL - Learn about Structured Query Language -
We are using NoSQL databases (aka "not only SQL") are non-tabular databases and store data differently than relational tables.

EAANJAC PROJECT SETUP

Team Architect, Program Manager and SEO Technologist joined the meeting today.

PROJECT SETUP - TOOLS and ENVIRONMENT:

GITHUB - user accounts were setup for the Project and repository for the project was setup. This Project information was notified to students during meeting.

1.    Install VSCode (it is IDE) or use it if already installed -

2.    Install git (GIT is a free and open-source version control system used to handle small to very large projects efficiently. Git is used to tracking changes in the source code, enabling multiple developers to work together on non-linear development.)

3.    Add GIT to windows PATH environment variable. When working with GIT on windows, you may have need of accessing GIT command from any directory or software application.

4.    Install and verify Node.js and NPM (NPM is Node package manager)

Note - At every step of installation verify the installation.

5.    Install firebase tools  -npm -g install firebase-tools

Verify c:\> firebase --version

Setting up Projects first time

1) Create "projects" folder and change the directory to "projects" folder.

2) Clone the repo - Taking a copy of code base to your local machine

URL was provided to students in the meeting.

Using project directory in command window (cmd),

Run the project locally

1.    Authorize the Firebase CLI by running the following command:

firebase login

2.    Make sure that your command line is accessing your app's local ecss directory

firebase use --add

? Which project do you want to add?

? What alias do you want to use for this project? (e.g. staging)

3.    Run the project locally

firebase serve --only hosting (All the information about these steps were

provided to students and is also available in GITHUB - READ ME.

Few students were successful in installing all these requirements for the project

and were asked to help others regarding installation on their individual computers.

Also, Students were informed to do the following tasks after installing:

1) Do these steps few times and get familiarized with these steps.

 2)  Be prepared to demonstrate these steps for next next week. Discuss about importance of each step.

3) Note to students - Please learn more about  Git, Git-Hub (difference), Firebase,  NPM

(what is NPM, why is it important? etc.), and Web Pack.

4)  Be prepared to discuss/share about them in the next meeting.

5 Please do not miss to crank lots of JS challenges!
